Training

The county EMA office provides guidance, planning models, home study courses, and workshops on emergency management to the local communities and their EMA Directors. The EMA office may be contacted for additional information on available training.

Upcoming Training Opportunities in Knox County:

American Red Cross Shelter Operations Training - Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Hope Corner Fire Station from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

WebEOC Training - Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Please contact Chris Whytock for more information at whytockchris@gmail.com or call 594-5155 if you would like to attend.

CONOPS Training:
There are instructors available to teach the Maine CONOPS to your department or agency. The program is delivered in a flexible format using Maine developed video and on line tools in a concise 60 to 90 minute training package. Please contact the EMA office at 594-5155 for more information and registration. The course is also available online to agencies registered with JPMA by visiting their website at www.jpmaweb.com.

Information and other study courses are available through MEMA and FEMA.
